"North Shore Bobcats is a great program. The program has great organization and clarity in where to be, and when, etc. The coaching staff headed by Jim Burfoot uses all the essential techniques and drills to keep the kids competitive while stressing the importance of teamwork. The program fits each player into a team that is best suited for them to get optimum practice and playing time. As an extra for me as a parent, was being able to watch happy kids playing a lot of basketball."

"My son, Josh, has been training with and playing for Jim for over 3 years now. Jim has proven to be a most supportive, knowledgable and kind person both on and off the court. His positive approach and appreciation of kids of all levels is a refreshing change from some of the coaches and programs that are out there. My son has improved as a player and learned the fundamentals that so many players these days lack. Jim has become a mentor to Josh and has helped Josh to learn not just the skills of the game but the game itself. His positive approach and approachability makes him a favorite among all the kids. If you want your child to learn the game and improve his/her basketball skills there is no better program or coach on the North Shore."

"I just can’t say enough about the North Shore Bobcats and Jim Burfoot. Jim does an outstanding job with every aspect of the program. He has such a great way with kids and has put together a program that truly helps them develop to the next level. Jim and his coaching staff are clearly knowledgeable about the game of basketball and have a heart for working with these young kids to help them achieve their goals. On the administrative end, the program is very well organized, from tryouts, to team selection, to the season’s schedule. There are no surprises and that’s refreshing. It’s really an excellent organization!"

"Just want you to know that I made the Varsity Basketball Team at Wakefield High School.
Thank you for all of your conditioning and skills work. It really made a difference and helped me at the tryouts."
- Rachel Hamilton, Varsity Player Wakefield High School
"The North Shore Bobcats program should be really proud of its inaugural season 2010. There are many kids that were brought together over the last year in the girls program. All of them came into the program with great potential and talents and to be able to take these kids and bring them together to teach them a team oriented approach to basketball and get them to play together was a quite and accomplishment. At the same time, each kid was able to progress to the next level of play with many success stories.
From personal experience, I know from working with coaches Jim Burfoot, Heather Marino, Bob Aho and George Bassett my daughter Carolyn was able to improve tremendously. Each coach brought a new perspective and philosophy to the game of basketball. Working with Carolyn during the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons and addition the skills and drills, conditioning sessions, they helped Carolyn get better in many facets both in her skill set but more importantly as an athlete with a broader knowledge of the game.
The ultimate compliment is that Carolyn enjoyed her first year with the Bobcats because she played with a great bunch of kids, on a competitive team in a positive environment."

"I just wanted to write to thank you for all you did for Aaron when he played for you this fall. Because of your program, coaching and conditioning clinic he rose to a level that earned him a spot on the Masco high school team. He is thrilled and can't wait to try out for your team again in the spring. Thanks for everything!"
